I’ve started installing Bilstein/OME 3” lift kit on my GX470. So far the coil conversion and rear coils have installed with little to no issues.
However, I am finding it extremely difficult to install the 5100 shocks. There isn’t nearly enough thread at the top of the shock tower to fit an additional bushing, washer, and nut. I’ve tried jacking the axle up as far as it can go with the shock bolted to the bottom to compress the shock but it’s still not enough.
I’m slightly worried I have the wrong shock. The length is about 1/8” shorter than my stock shocks. The part number is 33-13146. Any help is greatly appreciated.
