Billet Bolt On Spacers???? Ok?

All I got was the inner wheel hub off of the IFS truck. I found two versions at the wreckers, one where the flange looked like a flower and another where it was a circle. I grabbed two of the "circle" stlye as there was more meat on them.

As for bearings, they are the same as all my Cruisers. I did not have to press on the spacer but it is a tight fit. I just tightened down the bolts evenly and it worked out fine.

You do need to drill out the existing holes for the dowel once the rotor is attachted to the spacer. This was easily done and the size you need is mentioned in the Sky instructions (which I can't find right now)

If you are building the axle, I would look at the 4 runner calipers as well instead of the cruisers

Thanks Dude

Does the Sky kit need to be pressed together with a press? What Exactly is needed from the IFS setup? Just the inner hub? Which lockout is used? The FJ or the IFS? The wheel bearings arent the same are they? I am bulding a front axle from scratch, so all parts going onto it are being aquired from scratch. (building axle while the current one is still being driven on!)

Thanks
Kevin

No input, but I plan on running the same ones.

hey doc ive got pretty much new(just bolted on and test drove) pair of billet alum spacers from marlin crawler im looking to sell their 1" if interested send me a pm ill be more than happy to go over details! :D

If youre using 1" spacers, how does that work? Do you cut the stock lug studs off past the lug nut? The lug studs stick out more that 1" which would hit the backs of the wheel since the pattern is rotated 30 degrees, right? I would order a set of spacers at least as thick as the distance to the end of the lug stud thread as measured from the WMS so you dont have to grind down the stud height.

I bought a set of 1.25" spacers yesterday, so I'd want another set of 1.25" again.

OK thanks, any ideas what year had what? Due to my crazy work schedule, i am pretty much building this from www.car-part.com :)

Thanks! I heard the T100's are even bigger! Any info on those? I was thinking of T100 calipers and FJ100 pads!

Thakns Brett, I was thinking the same thing. I actually called Marlin and canceled my spacers (everything else is on its way) and i am going to do the IFS hub swap as you originally suggested! I am flying back to SD in a few hours and will give ya a ring

thanks

p.s. get my last email?

the spacers bolt on to your existing studs with new bolts that come with kit ,then you mount your wheels to the spacer studs with your old lug nuts

well thats what i thought as well, but the front axles are 1.5"wider than rear so youll need to offset the rear just a little to give your pig a even stance. i bought 1" all around and you can def. tell the diff., front to rear just doesnt look wright to me. you might want to reconsider and buy either wider spacers 4 the rear (1.5-1.75")or thinner ones 4 front( 1")
since youve allready bought 1.25"! also remember once you bolt them on they wont take them back! learn from my mistake. oh and good luck! let me no how it turns out 4 you. :)

Freebornred- I'm interested in those spacers for the front, but I don't see how a one ince spacer will work.

Ok, you put the spacer on, and put the spacer NUTS on the OE wheel studs, but aren't the wheel studs longer than one inch? Once you put the spacer nuts on the OE studs, isn't the stud still sticking out quite a bit? Will this not interfere with my wheel?

This was asked above, but I don't think it got answered- Do the OE wheel studs end up hitting the new wheel with a 1" spacer?

no they (wheelstuds) dont hit your wheels, the o.e. wheelstuds stay flush with the spacer,
i think but dont qout me on this one, anything under 1" width and the studs will pertrude!
