The day has come...I drove through Big Pine last week and confirmed what a few friends had told me. The famous Big PIne 45 is gone. So is every other car that was behind the fence. The place is dead.

I met the guy that owned all of those, and he had a partner in Malibu. He told me they had more in a yard in the Malibu area. Maybe they all changed address. He had a shop in Bishop. Don't know.

All of these went for sale a few months back. One of our club members had the entire list of vehicles and prices (pretty high) of he wanted for each vehicle. A lot of 40's (some in good shape, others were parts cars), a couple of 45's (1 or 2 LV's and a couple of LWB's), and 55 wagons (complete and parts cars). I thought there was a thread or someone mentioned this at one point.

Nice info, I had not heard that. I'd love to know what they gpot for the 45.

Met this guy while topping off the tank of my 45LV in Big Pine on my way into the Saline Desert. Another Cruiser landmark gone.
