August Club Run


Big Bear - August 21st (Rating = 3-4) Day trip;

The Club will meet in Fawnskin at the Cafe at 8:00 A.M. for breakfast and then the run will begin at the Big Bear Discovery Center at 9:00 A.M. Come early and have breakfast. Please let us know if you plan on attending.

We had a great Big Bear Run! Over 18 vehicles, including a 70 Series. The majority of the Cruisers went up Gold Mountain trail, while some of the wagons traveled up Jacaby Canyon. We had lunch at the Baldwin Lake overlook.

After lunch we took the White Mountain trail and viewed a lot of devastation from the last forest fire. Very eerie in places.

Chris in the green 40 found out what a thrill it is to drive very fast through a mud puddle ... with his windshield DOWN!! Whoops!!

Back from Big Bear, hope everyone made it home safe, great to see so many new Cruisers make the trip up the Mountain, it was nice meeting all of you.....
Special thanks to everyone who stepped-up to help when my 40 decided it had no use for its front drive-shaft anymore!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped us get over the mountain again. Craig and Chris gave us a strap and Nick, Robert and Brain helped me change a tire in NASCAR Pit Crew time!

Bummed I missed this trip. It looked like a great time! I was in Nevada this past weekend at the BITD Vegas to Reno race, chasing for a friend. Didn't get to do much wheeelin while I was out there but here is a pic from our drive back off the 395, in front of June Lake (I believe). Ended up finding some back road that led there.
