Great plan.

Ed, Glad to hear your going-

I will be cooking hot dogs on my engine with my "secret weapon". Can't wait for lunch! :)

Noah

MMMMMmmmmm SBC Dogs - what kind of condiments you put on em - 10W-30W or ATF?

What time do you want to meet up Saturday morning? I was thinking around 6:30 a.m. at the Shell Station off Murrieta Hot Springs Road. That should get us up to BB around 8:00 a.m.

Lemme Know,

You have a place in mind where everybody can meet up at big bear? will be coming from the OC

OK, so I booked a campsite for Fri/Sat nights at Heartbar campground, near BB. We are site #3. If anyone else wants to camp you may want to book a site, there are a handful of them left. I may go up friday night or sat morning, not sure yet. Will have more details on meeting times and places as we get closer. u can book at www.recreation.gov

Hey guys, if you run John Bull can you take some pictures and let me know the trail condition? I'll be up there on the 22nd and was thinking about running JB. I have an 80 without sliders.

Thanks

The plan is to meet at the Discovery center in Big Bear Saturday morning @ 9:00 a.m. We will be running Gold Mountain first then John Bull Trail. If time permits- we may check out the Onyx peak /heartbreak ridge areas on our way back to HeartBar campground.

I will be going up friday around mid-day.

Here are directions to the BB DiscoCenter taken from there website.

From the Greater Los Angeles area:Take Interstate 10 East toward San Bernardino, to the 210 freeway North, to Highway 330 East. Highway 330 becomes Highway 18 at Running Springs. Proceed on Highway 18 East to the Big Bear Lake Dam. At the yield sign, proceed straight on Hwy 38 (North Shore Drive), through Fawnskin, to the entrance of the Big Bear Discovery Center.
From the Orange County or the South Bay area:Take the 91 East (or the 55 North to the 91 East), to the 215 North, to Interstate 10 East, to the 210 freeway North, to Highway 330 East, to Running Springs. At Running Springs, the route becomes Highway 18, proceed East to the Big Bear Lake Dam. At the yield sign, proceed straight, through Fawnskin, to the entrance of the Big Bear Discovery Center. From the San Diego area:Take Interstate 15 North, to the 215 North, to Interstate 10 East, to the 210 freeway North, to Highway 330 East to Running Springs. sorry guys....not looking good for me....would like to go but maintenance on my house getting costly. still trying

Tim, post up some pics when you get them! or send to me and I will posst, I didn't bring my camera.....

Will do- may be a couple of day's. Work will be a bitch this week.

Thanks again for the excellent spotting on John Bull and sorry I made you scramble. Without the lower gearing- it's skinny pedal up the rocks. I was glad to make it through there without any straps or winch pulls.

Also all of you other guys missed a great day on the trail. I ripped off my muffler and dented my new right side half door . Good Times. Funny thing was that I was the least bothered by it. My rig aint no Dirt Road Diva .

I also nearly got pulled over by the Highway Patrol heading back to camp - may have been my new White Trash Exhaust system;). He was parked facing the opposite way and after I went by-
with that open pipe 2F growling away he turned around. He got right up on my ass and then turned on his lights and as I pulled over he quickly flipped a u-turn and sped off in the other direction. I was bummed- of all of the times I have been pulled over- this was the first time I was looking forward to it. My passenger was an off-duty cop and I
was sure they would start swapping names and telling cop stories and I would be forgotten and then set free:D.
