Mickey Thompsons ATZs look great

I recently purchased a set of Baja ATZs for my 2002 LX470. Tough, good looking tires.

I have the D rated 285/75-16 BFG AT's and I run 40 front/42 rear for the highway. So far, I have about 15k on them... they're perfect.

Note title of thread. We have enough "what's the best tire" threads. :flipoff2:

285 Duratracs are at 60 psi. Tire guy said this is where they should be set. I may explore lowering them.

I would lower them to 42 front and 39 rear. 60 is way to high for Duratracs (or any tire that goes on a 100). I am shocked your tire guy would put that much air. I would think 60PSI is to high for a fully built and full of gear for a week with a camper in tow on the highway.

The guy is an idiot. Show him a manufacturers (tire or vehicle) guide book.

I'm gonna lower them tonight. I told him to set them at 42 psi and he said any lower than 60 would cause excessive tire wear.
