It is a common mis-nomer.

94 model year vehicles were produced until December 1994, about 3 months longer than a "normal" model year change. True 1995 model year production did not begin until January 1995. Many people mistakenly believe that their late 1994 production vehicles are 95's.

Ahh, makes sense. I always wondered why my 94 was made so late in the year (December) and still labeled as a 94. I assume they needed the extra time to finalize the changes for the 95?

MoJ, that means you are one of the last to get the big bad 442 transmission. I've heard they were originally built for bus applications and that it is really hard to break one.

Cool, I'll have to start asking for tokens.

Newbie here.

I have a 93 with locking diff. I hear mention of different transmissions etc. Is there a good source for info on what i actually have in my truck, so that I can claim its the best? Always got to argue from a position of strength (or at least information)

(sorry about the psuedo hijack)

Transmission code is on the sticker inside the driver's door below the bar code.

Chalk up another one for the December 1994 truck club.

442-343=99

With my complicated formula you can derive that the A442F is 99 times better than the A343F. ::)
