I have to chime in....as an attorney who does personal injury work and as person who has an uncle and two cousins who are all trauma surgeons, I can say this......air bags save lives, no doubt.

If I had a wife and kids, which I do not, I would have them in a vehicle that had airbags....no question.

Interesting.

Two Barristers on the list, one who picks up the injured and one who handles the paper work. What a small world :D

For axle service, we mean regular front cv joint (birfield) servicing at 60k intervals. This is a $1,000 shop job and tends to get skipped. It should be the first thing you do if you buy a 90k plus cruiser where it has not been done. There are lots of posts here and in the tech section on what is involved. You should read them before taking it to a shop because most shops don't appreciate what it is Some will tell you it is not needed which is not true, the birfields on a fulltime 4wd system get lots of wear and thewre is no way to replenish the grease without tearing them down..

I respect Christo's experience on model years, but with the exception of forced induction and maybe the airbag, I have to say those are pretty minor advantages for the 95-97. Given the cost of a supercharger/turbo I assumed it would not be on your radar.

C-Dan, your count is off a bit and I can assure you that Barristers do not do paper work!! ;) That is done by solicitors, also known as scribblers :flipoff2:

:whoops: OK Simon, I forgot you, make it at least 3 :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: . BTW me mum is an attorney too ;) (private practice for 46+ years, still at it).

The sign on the out-house wall says "The job is not done until the paper work is finished" :D

There be plenty of paper in my office too.

Well, never one to pass up the opportunity to prove my point, I just sold my wife for $50M. :flipoff2: :'(

On the good side, I can now buy any damn FZJ80 I want. And first thing, I'm removing those ridiculous airbags. Seatbelts, brakes too. (mumblemumble buncha weeniesafetynazis mumble)

Oh, I'm not a lawyer or barrister or whatever. I'm just an enjinear. That is, when I'm forced to do something at work besides surf the web.
