best way to seat rings on rebuilt 1HZ-T?

I guess you haven't seen my barwork or interior furniture! Anyway she's below factory weight and with a turbo to wizz her along i'll need a decent hill to get any load at low revs.
 
I just put a brand new short block on my 1HZ, rebuilt cylinder head and diesel injection pump. Have been searching for factory break in recommendation for this engine with no luck. This is a good thread but at the end mostly opinions, nothing specific to the 1HZ or from factory. In my case I don't have access to a dyno, so need to break in by driving it. Any recommendations ?
 
When I had my 1HZ rebuilt , they gave me written instructions to vary the rpms up and down the range without leaving it at the same rpm for long periods. It got really hot for the first few hundred klms then it settled down. In all honesty, these are not highly stressed engines. As long as you keep the oil and coolant in good condition , you wont have a problem. Change the oil at 1000klms.
