I’ve ordered rear quarter and tailgate storage panels from Jason over at Trail-Tailor.com and am excited to free up some cargo space very soon.
However, the pieces will come as unfinished (or “mill finish” I suppose is more accurate) aluminum and it just seems like not a great idea to leave them that way. I suppose I could paint or powdercoat them but after dragging stuff over the tailgate panel and tossing stuff in the back over and over I feel like they’d get beaten up pretty badly.
I’ve looked at different material blasting results, which are interesting and then there’s always anodizing or the old standby (bed liner). Anyone have any thoughts?
