Best battery (27F? 49?) for a 100 available in the GVRD?

Hi guys, haven't posted here in a while since I got my LX.
Looks like my battery is crapping out (intermittent start issues, maybe it's the dreaded contacts but I'll start with the battery). Not a lot of great choices for us on the West Coast. Nobody in B.C. seems to stock the Odyssey PC1700 that seems highly recommended.

The main option is a Northstar 27F from Polar for $450.
Any other suggestions? Haha, anyone got a bro-deal they'd like to share?

Lordco will have everything. Canadian Tire has some pretty good batteries, if you can figure out the website.

I've heard of this place, but never been there. Not sure how far their selection goes.

You could also try Benjamin at 604.751.0023 and see if he can help you. Great kid who knows his batteries quite well and has a small business in Abbotsford. If he can't help you directly, maybe he can steer you somewhere that does supply the exact thing you want.

Sorry to break it to you but it is probably the starter contacts...not that big of a deal but its not a 1hr job.

I put a Northstar group 31M in my 100 with the slee battery tray

I like Northstar. They tested better than odyssey. Edmonds battery sells them. Canadian tires Eliminator Ultra XD is the Northstar battery as well.

Thanks guys, I'll check these options out.. Strange, no starter issues in about 15 starts now. Maybe it is the contacts, but the battery is at least 5 years old so I'll still replace it.

best battery for me- 36 month replacement/9 year pro-rated Group 27 little over $100.

I was in Canadian tire the other day and they had a group 27 Nautilus marine/RV starting and deep cycle for $150. 800 cranking amps, 150 reserve, and 80 amp hour.

1 year free replacement and 2 1/2 year warranty.

My batteries crapped out just before the Chilcotin trip so I replaced both, with best warranty I could find in a day

For the right side battery ~ I bought the Group 27 (750 CCA) at Walmart ($112.00) with 36 month replacement and 108 months (9 yr) pro-rated.
For the left side battery ~ I bought the slightly smaller Group 24F (700 CCA) from Costco ($92.99) with 36 month replacement and 100 months pro-rated. Average cost for the two with same warranty is $102.50.

I would have preferred to go with Costco, but Costco does not have a Group 27 or Group 27F (for the left side) and Walmart did not have the Group 27F, so I went with this Big Box Mix. I looked at Interstate, Napa and they were about $160-$180 with shorter replacement warranty.

i'm with Glenn on that one. i run 5 of those group 27 wallmart batteries in the benz.
