Exactly what Mr bryan said. They will negotiate. It was your truck and someone else took that from you (as long as it was their fault). Get it for as cheap as you can. Like $400. I would say printing about 3 ads of landcuisers for sale at dirt cheap prices will let them know the actual value of your crashed up version. Be a dick!
I got hit in my 97 BMW M3 that was cherry, 100% rebuilt. I bought the car back for under $1000. Parted all my aftermarket/etc for almost $20k. And got a check for $13,500 on top of that. This was just 4 yrs ago! The car was 13 yrs old at the time. I had every receipt. They reimbursed me for all of everything. Crazy right. But it was my persistance and annoying behavior that got me my money.
