Mine is still street legalish. Lights are the main issue, but hope to make it more road friendly over the winter.
Also for the guys driving,they do have Johns runner as an emergency way out. Hasn't it been pulled off the trailer and drove home when someone else broke? Or did I just dream that happened one time.

It has. It is still very streetable, despite spending 3 years now on a trailer. In some ways more streetable now.
 
I keep mine in very good working condition even though it's a trailer baby now.

But it will soon be going under the knife.
Should be a better, stronger bitch when done.
 
My plans are to go through the whole 40 this winter. Seal everything up and base line it
 
On the surface my 40 is less "streetable" than it has been in the 9 years I've owned it but the truth is that it is me not the 40.
DD's get more and more cozy and driver friendly every year then I jump in my leaf spring, solid axle, carbureted 40 year old wheeler and realize that this thing is perfect for off roading and sucks on bouncing country roads .......but actually not bad in town.
It has its place.
