^ Yea, we are all counting the days up here until they start selling. Don't know why it is taking sooooooo long..... We still have a bunch of snake slingers who think alcohol is the devil...
Stop at Appalachian Beverage up on the hill to the left right after Wal-Mart in Ellijay. They have a great selection and now have mix and match 6 pack craft beers.

You guys are camping on Friday night, what time are you hitting the trail on Saturday??

for some reason I remember we cannot have "it" in our vehicles in certain areas. Ted is this correct?

If I remember correctly you can not have it in the orv area at all but we've never had an issue in the past. That said, you're on your own if you just happen to get an enthusiastic ranger.

Red plastic cups or your Ih8mud coffee mug are always good things to have on hand.

edit: Leave it in camp!!!!!!!

That is correct...dont forget to get correct change for the ORV fee's also...seems like there is always a couple of people who need a $20 broke.

Do we have a meeting time? 10AM at the campsite?

As indicated we killed off the "Bash" after last year but we're still going to Beasley Knob this year.

It will be an overnighter so bring your camping gear. Details will be posted shortly.

ORV Fees: $5 Per day
Food: Bring you own
Bevs: BYOB

ENTRANCE: go to Rosemarry Dr. (FS Rd. 93) & 76/515 for easiest access. This will take you up to a pay station where you'll need to pay your $5 per day of wheeling. Follow the trail out the back of the pay lot on FS 93 (which intersects 93A once you pass 93B) until you see the camp site of the left. It aint fancy but certainly functional and is located south of 93B, looks like a gravel parking lot with a couple of big trees right in the middle of it.

If you go to the first entrance (FS 851) you're screwed and have to "wheel" to the camp ground so don't do that.

CAMPING: Primitive only, located just off 93A south of 93B

I'd throw some firewood in the rig as well.

you guys crack me up. :flipoff2: This is a very simple "non-event" event, nothing complex like years past. Show up, throw down a tent, wheel your junk, cook, eat, campfire, etc... Sunday morning, pack your stuff, wheel some more and then go home.

All I know is that Josh and John plan to be there around 9:30 or so on Saturday morning. I gave him some of the old Beasley Bash directional signs from years past but I don't know if he'll get them out or not. Make sure you know how to get the camp site. :steer::steer:

I'll suggest it one more time: BRING FIREWOOD

IMHO try to get a room at the Holiday Inn, or the Best Western, the other hotels might be a little sketchy, especially El Joe :)hhmm:heard some stuff....). For you rich guys:flipoff2:, the cabins are usually good to go.

See you guys out there:steer:

Don't forget: SFWDA 3rd Quarter Meeting.

Looks like the Bounty Runners will be up there too.

I'm here, cooking currently dinner.

be on the look out for the FL guys, they got up there fine but I don't think they found the right camp site.

Us either, the FL folk decided to camp on the right a ways before the camp on the left. There aren't any heavily graveled areas which means a better nights rest. There's plenty of room so come on.

Well the bottom fell out about 15 minutes after I left....hope yall made it down ok!

Rain at Beasley will make for a long trail day and night. maybe the rain did not last long it only rained for 30 min at the house.

Yea the rain was heavy and lasted on and off throughout the night. We finished running trails early in the afternoon and started packing it in.

bummer, I was in Clayton all weekend and Saturday night sucked. Did you guys wheel at all Saturday afternoon/Sunday morning or just pack up and go home?

I was out and running around in the general Winding Stair area (fs-77/28/58) yesterday looking for you ---- didn't know which day you were headed home...

Beautiful weather yesterday.

The run was fantastic, the trails were good and dry almost like talcum powder in some areas. Our P group ran all the trails but 3 1. 93B 2. another extremely diff. and 3. a one way dead end where the other group was. I was most impressed with a ex. cab tacoma with 31" MT's open on both ends and 2" of lift. We stopped riding about 230-300 on Saturday and kept checkin the weather radar. We felt it was better to get the cooking supplies broken down and packed away. We then went out for pizza with 02 Beast and his wife. It rained and rained and rained some more. Then it stopped we built a fire then it rained some more and we called it a night. We contemplated running the trails for a millisecond the next morning (but I've been there when its wet and if you want to winch up thats great getting down is another story).
