Fall Crawl

Boy, any ALCA member who missed the Fall Crawl missed a great time. I could only make it for the wheeling Saturday but the day was terrific. Weather awesome- couldn't have been better in any way. For us ALCA members it was a chance to attend and enjoy what is a fairly major event right here in our backyard. Even though I didn't wheel with them I did see Jeff Dozier and Sean at the park. Thanks to the Bay to Blue Ridge Cruisers for hosting a good event.

Wheeled with ALCA member Matt in his FJ cruiser, Tim from NY in a locked 62, Charlton from VA in his blue 40, Rich from Long Island, in his stock FJ cruiser, and Tom and Carl (wild and crazy Polish brothers!!!) in their FJ40. It was a good day, although Rich cut a tire on the first hill climb. We did some neat new trails, had a good time at Lake Christy, and all in all had a great day. Tom had some throttle cable trouble (Weber carb) on his 40 but we had enough tools and parts to make the repair, it happened on the tougher section of the pole line. Lots of Jeeps there and the competition area was off limits to us poor Toyota owners, but there was no real congestion in the park. We did see a lot of deer Saturday.

Rausch Creek gets better every time I wheel there, they are getting better organized all the time without the strictness that we used to experience at times at Paragon. We are extremely fortunate to have it in our back yard. Hope the club has a great turnout for the club run next month. Gary S

What a nice weekend BBRC picked for the event. Great planning and execution. The extra effort was was appreciated by all. Thanks to Jeff for stripping pizza rock again. It was a rampless, pleasant challenge for a change.

Thank you Smukster for the great ride on Sat. I was on trails I never was on before. I hope Jen can post some pic's:D

Sorry I bugged out before camp but home was calling me:doh:.

my favorite was the fire..... I don't know how we didn't catch the hemlock above (and the rest of the forest) on fire.....

the metal fire ring WAS red and deformed nicely when hit with a tire iron! :D

I'd like to see some pics too. I took some with Brian's camera.:) I am really regreting not taking the 80. Not that is wasn't fun being chauffered around all day. The back seat of the piggy was quite comfy.:grinpimp: Thanks Brian.

Thats funny, I really gotta get to know all of you better! I only remember the Doughnut guy, Garry i guess? And also another kid. i think his name was Chris he was building a mini truck and rode along w/somone else. I was there w/my Taco. I think i was the only one:)

Can anyone help me track down a guy named Berto or Beto. somthning like that i think it was short for somthing. He was from Delaware around newark I think and he had a Yellow FJ cruiser. It seemed like he was interested in having a bumper built. I turned him down at the time but was starting to think differently about it.
