hahah, my friend Justin flipping off jeep owners everywhere.

Looks like a good time, I'm sure the ice made for an interesting day.

How did the 80 perform Jason? Did you do any damage on the rocks? Looks like you need to add those Metal Tech sliders to this one.

I remember when that Cherokee wasn't burned and everything was still there. There were bullet holes, but even the rims were still on it. Too bad it's in an area, that would make for a very difficult removal. Might have visit that in the future.:hhmm:

Yeah, unfortunately I sold the MT sliders to a fellow in San Francisco. I was really regretting it up there. I never did hit a body panel, but I came DAMN close. The PO fabbed up some sliders so all I have to do is design some cat protection and weld them on.

Looks like some fun terrain...at least the pics shown looked to be.
How far in to the trail were you guyz?
Ive never done this run, so Im curious!
Nice to see your rig right side up Jason!

Who had to get winched?

I was talking to a jeeper guy at work and I mentioned this run to him, and he kinda winced regarding the off camber spot and the snow/ice/mud section...
Is that where you guyz decided to call it?

Jason did a good job of keeping the rubber side down. BTW Jason we didn't need to stack any rocks to get my rig out of that pickle IIRC.:flipoff2:

Jasons friend with the open diff mini truck on street tires needed a tug at one point. He had parked below the waterfall.

On the way out he was coming up out of a wash and slid the rear end off the road. It was kind of hanging there. I was behind him, tail gun position as usual, and he was blocking the road. I had to drive 1/4 mile down the wash then circle back to get in a position where we could winch him back on the road. The sad part is I had taken my snatch block out that morning because it was loose in the truck and I didn't want it rattling around all day. If I had it we could have anchored to a tree and winched him forward. I will find a home for the snatch block to live in the rig full time.

We made it over the waterfalls and up the slabs before it got dicey, probably the same section your friend was thinking of.

We can do the trail one weekend next summer, it's a short run if things go well.
