Replaced the wiring harness on my 77 resto. The FJ came without an alternator or VR. Bought the alternator and VR pictured below from SOR.
My first time messing with a VR. Hoping someone here can double check my homework:
1. Threaded lug with B on lower right side of alternator goes to positive battery post.
2. Threaded lug with brass nut on upper right side of alternator goes to ammeter.
3. WG wire on VR goes to F on alternator.
4. WB wire on VR goes to E on alternator.
5. Stand alone blue wire on VR goes to a radio noise reducing capacitor.
Does anyone know where the WR wire on the VR goes? Does anything go to N or the Alternator?
Genuinely appreciate whatever help anyone wants to offer. Thanks in advance.
