Well big company got me........ :ban::ban::ban:
I was informed today that in 30 days I will no longer have a job.:crybaby::ban: Yeap, no Bull SHET. Company is trying to save 10 million this year and my job got cut. GO FIGURE:hhmm:
Got the phone call at 8am by the fellow who hired me 7 years ago........ seemed to tear him up.

Guess folks I'm taking this pretty hard due to the fact that Ashley in school trying to finish her degree & I drop this bomb shell on her.......:bang:

This was not in my plans for life..... guess I thought 30 years would pass, get a cheap gold watch, retire, get fat(already working) then become a bum:doh:

Really not looking for pity but just letting some close friends know what's going on in my life:meh::meh::meh:

Clutchee,

Not sure if you remember the nutty redhead from the Trail Team but it's me, Maureen/Mo. Keep your head up, start looking right away before all your coworkers do.
You'll be fine over the long haul but you might lose that retirement gut you've been working on! ;)

Thanks folks, just found the old resume buried in files...... guess I'll be working on it over the next few days.

Sorry to hear that Brother. Sucks but the days of working hard for one or two employers then retiring are long over. You gota look out for yourself. I remember a statistic from several years ago that went something like this: The average American employee will now have an average of five careers (not talking jobs here - careers!) during his/her working life. So sad! They say the current "best practice" is to work for an employer just long enough to be fully vested in their retirement then move to another employer and repeat the process - over and over till you retire from all the above.

Keep your head high Clutchee - it's not your fault and it is not a reflection on you as an individual. The economy is in trouble and that's all there is to it. I know you'll land on your feet!

ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!! :bounce::steer::bounce2::clap:

Good time to come out and visit!!!

Chris:cool:

I would LOVE to...... but I have no more free tickets in my piggy bank.

Plus with 30 days to find a job, wife in school, and vacation already planned heavy for this month..... not a good idea.

But heck, maybe some company will like my resume and hire me........

Everyone please pray, do a religious dance, rub sticks together, pray towards mecca 5 times a day:D:D:D

Unemployment is a fine White Trash tradition sir ...

I'm sure with all your skills, you'll be able to get a job quickly.

Just as a reminder though ... what are those skills again? :flipoff2:

:flamingo:

My good old friend Clutchee.

I've been there. 6 months. My Wife is out school but we had my oldest son already. It was tough for me. I could not provide for my newborn son. Time went by and I landed in this Job B & M Bridge as a cashier first and now as a Director of Operations. I do work a lot of hours, I am on call 365 day out of the year. I work on weekends and holidays, even in during vacations. Asked Ashley, during the Ramble 07 We went w/ Bodean to the store and I almost loose the signal while I was sending e-mails to my boss and a contractor this one the many calls I answer durin my vacation time.

What I learned from this experience was that there's more out there. we just have to be patient and the right job will come to you.

You're a bright person.

I am sure you'll find a better job than the one you have!

We're praying for y'all!!!

Keep doing it!
THANKS:clap:

Thanks...... funny thing is happening.....
The fellow who just became what is now my new boss for the next 30 days asked for help....... said he wanted a unbiased feedback of how to run my plants & organize the group.

Felt good to be wanted:D

Then he proceeded to tell me the next 30 days to focus on getting a new job and not worry about plant issues:meh::flipoff2:
