Backdoor indicator 85 runner

oK, another thing with the truck that is annoying me is the backdoor indicator is lighted up. I checked around the tail gate and body did not see any pin type switches . what am i looking for to turn this off or check out

Pull the covers off of the inside of the tail gate, the switch you are looking for is operated by the door lock on the tail gate, so figure which switch it is and see if it's not engauging enough or if the plug is loose.... etc.
