Back pressure/spewing oil

I have an 87 4runner, 22re, that seems to be spewing oil. While driving down the freeway I smelled burnt oil. I popped the hood and the whole drivers side of the engine and hood was covered in oil. I replaced the PVC valve to no avail. If I remove the oil filler cap and place a piece of paper over the hole it appears at idle to suck the paper downward, as if the PVC valve is working. However, upon reving the engine it pushes the dipstck up, oil also seems to be seeping out of the filler cap. seems to be way to much back pressure. All the plugs looked good, any ideas????

How many miles on it? Is this something that started suddenly?

it has a replacement motor from the PO 100,000 m. i will do the comp check in the am

and yes it started suddenly, i have had the veh a year and it started this luckly on the way home from a death valley trip

you got a clog. change your oil regularly?

hows that timing chain guide lookin?

compression check showed # 1 @ 120 2-3 @ 150 4 @ 90. I'm guessin a broken ring

to determine if its rings, add oil to the cyl and recheck.

increased numbers mean ring. of not, its valve train
