Baby seats in the 200 (2 Viewers)

It's been a while, but it was online and either amazon or babies r us. They are pricey, but very convenient due to the narrow size. They are convertible as well so there is a base for rear facing to recline it then it comes off for forward facing. The seats are back in my wife's sequoia or I'd post a picture of them in the lc.
Do they recline when front facing?

Best back seat we ever had was our 2013 F150 super crew FX4. It was something like 65 linear inches of back seat and leg room for days.

You can run 3 car seats side by side all day in those things.

We now have a 2014 LC 200 and there isn’t the same width to work with, but we outgrew 1 of the boosters so one Britax behind passenger, oldest kid in the middle, and one booster behind driver.

The F150 came after the 3rd was about to be born and we needed 3 car seats across the back - we got pushed out of our BMW X5 4.8 (and I still miss that car) because you just can’t fit the seats back there.

I know the two vehicles serve a completely different audience, and I’m not saying to buy an F150, but the LC like all SUV’s is a little snug for 3 seats side by side.

I run three seats no problem. I have the rear facing in the middle and older kids seats on outside. Removing running boards actually helped get the baby seat in and out as you can get closer to the vehicle. Wife also has no issue getting middle seat in and out

You can easily fit 3 kids convertible car seats in the 2nd row if you go with a brand designed for that. For example, you can fit 3 Radians in the back of a Civic. If you need a fourth, you are going to need half of the third row and that kid will be going in and out of the rear hatch.

The car seats Ive got recline when facing forward, which helps keeps the kids chin off his/her chest when they fall asleep.

we picked up a 200 for same reason
my 2 year old and the baby ride in second seat, two big kids in 3rd

For about a month it "worked" but when its time for carline pickup or drop off at school and you are trying to be quick it was not a smooth process, and the seat was unused, basically a waste of space for us.

So I removed the passenger 2nd row seat so the big ones can get in (think minivan setup)
worked great for past 5 months, also gives me a spot to stack pallet of water or other large things after a Sams/Cosco trip

Thanks for posting about this. I'm considering removing that 40% seat as well. Can you share a little about what you had to do and if this is still working out. Need easy 3rd row access with two rear facing seats in the 2nd row.

A reply here or to the other thread so it's specific to removing the 40% seat would be great.

Just to pile on, with two Diono Radians you can fit a lot of cars. I had two forward facing radians and a baby carrier rear facing Graco in a Jetta TDI wagon for a while. I have done the same with a Camry.

If you put a Radian forward or rear facing (should be the same rear facing) in the center space of the LC you can use the 40 seat without a problem. I currently have a Radian in the middle with a booster and Britax rear facing across the back of the LC.

You can also fit two Radians folded in a large north face black hole for airline travel....it works great but those seats are heavy!

Two Radians and a booster easily fit a Diesel Prado!

If you have several small children, the Radians really give you options for small (or large) vehicles.

At one point I had three kids in radians. Air travel was an experience I’d like to forget.

If space is at a real premium there are companies that make 2 up and 3 up and 4 up rated child seats that will fit in a much narrower space than separate child seats. They run something like 50% more than separate top of the line seats. There’s a link somewhere on the forum. If I recall uk company.
