Hi Guys.
Just checking in since I've been gone from here for a bit. Everything is going well, I got sent to Afghanistan but I came back early...
I've been trying to keep track of the posts and how you all are doing, hope all is well and it looks like that snow run was a blast.

I just got a new cruiser today just wanted to share...she is a 1988 BJ73 with a 3B engine and H55F tranny...she has a few things that needs to be fixed, but the previous owner took care of all the body work and painted it...which I know how much of a pain in the :censor: that is. Heres a pic of her...I'll take her on some easy trails here in Azores and take some picks then.

This is the vehicle I will be shipping back...for those that know my story...Cheers and  .

Looks like you need to get one more for a matched set. Thanks for the update. It is nice to see that you are doing well.

I'm not pushing my luck any further with the wife...haha...I would like to find a turbo for it...

Now it's time to find spare parts...and fix the stuff that needs fixin...

Good to hear form you! Sent you an email a while back and didn't hear back so I figured there must have been some super secret reason they needed some to teach Portuguese in Afghanistan. Glad you made it back all in one piece. As for the LC, are there any more for sale out there  Say hello to Audi and tell her the plants are doing well.

Hi Leon, I sent something back to you, it must have gotten lost in cyberspace. Trust me Leon...I did not go to Afghanistan to teach Portuguese...haha. There are a bunch LCs here....BJ40s...BJ70s...VXs...took me over 6 months to find this one because, it had to be 25 years of age to ship it to the states without having problems with DOT, EPA and BPA rules...since I leave in 2013, this one is ok....plus the rest that I saw that were in the correct age bracket, were too rusted out or had a VM motor...which is POS motor.

I lucked out on this 73, literally networked around...people who knew people, found the phone number to the owner and called to find out if he wanted to sell...you can't put for sale signs on your vehicles, unless your a dealership here in Portugal...so it becomes a bit harder to find who is willing to sell and who is not.
