hey y'all just checkin out my axel code and wanted to confirm that i have what i think i have... got a 89 4 banger and the axel code reads g 292 so would it be safe to say that i have a 8 inch rear end. want to re gear 488 and lock!

i think you have 4:10 gears with and open diff and yes G indicates 8" gear.

you have a 4cyl 8" 3rd...thats all the info you need when ordering gears and lockers...
