After a great deal of time and effort I have been able to obtain some 90915-20004 Japanese oil filters. I currently have ~450 in stock. They come in boxes of 10.

The price is $95.00 per box, shipped ground to the lower 48.

Are these filters the really long ones that ive seen around mud? They fit a 3fe right?

I'm assuming that these are the TRUE (and infamous) 90915-20004 Denso filters from Japan...

Not that I'll need any for a couple of years, but do you think you'll be able to continue with the LDO's on these in the future?

I suspect that I will be able to do ~1 a year or so, provided they continue to produce them in Japan.

I am just curious to know what is so special about these filters? How do they compare to the "high milage" filters that they sell at wal-mart.

I have a 76 FJ 40 with a 2F and a 86 FJ 60 with a 2F. If that filter will fit on these engines I would like a box.

I've used them on my 2Fs before with no issues. Still, the right filter for a 2F is the -41010s.

Are they internally constructed more like the 90915-20004 or the 08922-02011? The 08922-02011 looks like a FRAM type filter.
