AV head unit problem

Hi,
I installed a Alpine IVE-W530 head unit on my LC with the objective of having Ipod and rear view camera.
So far the unit has worked great but yesterday I left my LC sitting on a parking lot all day and when I drove my car the Screen on the stereo had gone crazy. And now is not displaying the correct colors in the screen.
I have attached a photo of it so you can see how it should look and how it is looking now.
Has any one come across something similar?

Yeek! That looks like a fluke from the manufacturing process that was triggered/aggravated by the heat (or direct sunlight maybe). Possibly just got a unit with a lemon screen. Rare for Alpine, but not unheard-of.

How long have you owned it? I would call Alpine and explain what happened, see if they will replace it under warranty.

Hi man,
I have had the unit for almost three months. I got it Early January and had it installed till the end of January so technically all of February and 20 days of March. Less than three months in operation.

I had the guys at the install place take a look at it and they where also intrigued.

I will call Alpine tomorrow to see what they can do.
I also emailed the online retailer in regards to my issue. I bought the unit from them because the offered 2 years extended warranty.

Apart from that the stereo is great.... when it was working correctly
