I placed my order last night and it's showing me it should get here by the 20th and I'm almost in disbelief they're saying it's going to come from Israel all the way here that fast..

Ordered Skids. There is a holiday this week in ISrael and Leonard at ASFIR pushed and got my skids shipped out before they closed for a week. Much appreciated.

I have the transmission plate, transfer plate and the gas tank plate. Really like it and Leonard is always super quick to respond to any questions you might have. A big factor for me was not having to modify or drill anything. It all bolts up neatly with what is there.

Don't tighten anything down until all bolts in all plates are started. It will all fit, but there is a lot of play there with the large holes and the unique washer/grommet thingies they use. Starting the front center bolt is particularly fun.

It is really helpful to use a floor jack to hold up the pieces in place while you are putting the bolts in. Especially the transmission plate.

So my plates arrived safe and sound. Well packaged etc. However, I might have made a big “Oops” by not asking if anyone had fitted the front plate with a TJM bumper. It looks like I’m going to have to do a bit of cutting to clear the winch tray at the front.

Is the very front of the front plate supposed to sit flush against the cross member it bolts too?

Let me know how this goes. I have the TJM bumper too.

It bolts to the same spot the factory shield bolted and sits flush.

Thanks, so it looks like I’ll have to cut the leading edge (the bit bent upwards forward of the front bolt holes) and drill two holes to clear the bolts for the TJM winch tray (which attach to the same cross member as the front skid. Not ideal but not terrible.

I wouldn't consider anything else. @ChristopherPrice photo.

If you guys had to prioritize which plates to get, which would you say are the most important? Initially, I wanted to just get the front skid plate, but now I'm seeing the discounted 3- and 4-piece sets. Is there one area under the 100 that's more prone to taking a beating or that we would want to be especially careful about protecting?

They have the front, transmission, transfer case, and fuel tank skid plates - debating on whether to save for the pack or just start with the front and add more along the way (if necessary).

For context, I'm not doing any hard rock crawling. Mostly exploring dry/rocky OHV trails in desert and mountainous terrain in CA.
