What were you quoted and where? Looking to get mine done
Bench Work Power Steering in Scottsdale (Benchworks Power Steering Systems). Said the rebuild price is $289.95 plus tax and environmental. Turn around is 2 days, sometimes 3 days, depending on whether they have the rebuild kit in stock or not. They will remove the pitman arm to make it easier.
I have an lx450, not really a part out vehicle, but not something I drive. What are you looking to do? Has 170k miles.
I'm looking for a steering box to send for overhaul so I can keep driving mine and just swap it out when it's rebuilt. Mine's leaking at the input shaft and groaning.

My understanding is that all years 80 series land cruisers are interchangeable. There is a 92 parting out on CL.

Nope they're the other style. I'm running the wheels you have pictured. I picked mine up on Partsgeek. You have to check the site often because they're out of stock more than they are not.
