I went ahead and bought the drivers seat. Wish I had done it sooner.

Looking to add these to my truck this summer.
I'd like to keep the Scheelmann seats the same for the driver and passenger, however my wife is (~5'3") and I am (6'1").
Any feedback on deciding between the standard Vario F model and the XXL model?
She rides with me most of the time and if the XXL model is safe and comfortable for her I'd prefer to go that direction, but dont want to compromise on those fronts.
I meant to also add the bolt right up. No modifying, no cursing trying to get them in eitherI meant the other guy. His profile says he’s 34. I feel ya bro…Scheelmanns are the bomb. I’ve sat in many…
When the time comes to upgrade/recover my seats in the next couple years, I’m gonna have to wrestle with this…
I'm 6'0 and after looking at the specs, the 2x is only three inches taller in the back. The reg seat fits me fine. She will be fine in the 2x if that's your route. With 14 manual adjustments, it can be adjusted to cradle her frame.Looking to add these to my truck this summer.

I have been in both seats. I’m not a professional.
My take away is they are the exact same feeling, the xxl is taller in the back rest.
I would order the xxl for both if it was me. (Similar situation with a smaller wife)
Thanks for the feedback. This confirms what I was thinking and will likely go with the XXLs.I'm 6'0 and after looking at the specs, the 2x is only three inches taller in the back. Has anyone been able to get pricing under MSRP through a vendor on a standard model? My guess is no but wondering if some vendors have better pricing than direct from Scheel Mann.
The biggest issue with Recaro currently is, with all the insolvency issues they've had and they had a tooling component break and the company that made it is out of business and add to that it seems that Recaro HQ only cares about OEM and aircraft, the future of automotive seats is a bit up in the air from them. Now there are loads of them out there used, and some stock as well.I'm going on a limb here. I'm a Recaro guy and would try some hi-end Recaros for comparison if I were you.
The main problem being the headrest is placed higher than it would be in an appropriately sized seat for her. Would that harm her, unlikely, probably less than looking at 2 different height seats in the front. I'd say that if you are comfortable, and stoked. Thats all that matters.I’ve had one person sit in my BMW 12 way electric seats that had experienced Scheel Mann and they said they thought they were as nice if not nicer than the Scheel Mann.
I’d like to get more opinions, if anyone’s at SAS10 in August look me up.
1400 for 4 shipped seems like a no brainer to me, but I know I don’t know what I don’t know.
Yep, if someone has Sheel Mann money I’m all for them! First class no doubt! The second someone starts wondering about the cost, I’ll make the comparison. Or when someone brings a manual seat to a $5000 dollar a seat gunfight.I'd say that if you are comfortable, and stoked. Thats all that matters.
The problem I had was both front electric seats died. I'm not a fan of electric. If I could swap out door panels and go with manual wi does, I would do that too.Thank you. I am open for suggestions.
My is a 97 with 40th interior with seat covers and loose driver seat frame from all the wear.
Well I surely do t have Scheel Mann money, but after saving, and since I'm the original owner, it's my daily driver, and I truly want this to be my last vehicle, it was worth saving and the price. Obviously I'm not super stoked having to fork it over, but the comfort I now experience is well worth saving for. To each their own. I have the delta bag seat cover coming from Germany which they don't give them away either. My escape gear seat covers separated after 11 years.Yep, if someone has Sheel Mann money I’m all for them!
