Arb bullbars

A recent trip to ZA has motivated me to finally get mine on the road.

The project is a 79 series body on a 80 chassis. So I'm on the process of ordering a bull bar for it so I can get the fab worked finished and tear it back down to paint.

I'm going to order one of the 79 series bull bars and adapt it to the 80 chassis. They are hard to find in the US so I want to get the right one be the first time.

There are 6 different part numbers from arb
Flare vs non flare
Commercial vs non commercial
Etc..

Anyone who knows the difference please enlighten me past what you can read on the website

Did you see what was on their Australian site? Last time I went in there and looked at bullbars ,there wasn't a huge difference in shape between the 2 types but the commercial had a lower standard of finish,not much though.

They should have a list with ticks or crosses next to each to compare the 2

The flare model is slightly wider at the wings to suit the factory flares. The deluxe bar has fog lights, indicator and parking lights. There are also winch compatible versions.

Commercial bars hold the M8274 winch, whereas the standard ones hold the common low mount 9000-12000 LB winches.

Yeah, flares vs non-flares is only a width deal.
Deluxe vs not is about the fog lights generally.

Thanks for clarification on the commercial bar Mike. I reckon I just need to call Arb and sort out how much wider the bar for flares is. I don't have flares now but may and then in the future if the tires end up sticking out to far.
