For a while, I have had the portable ARB pump, the one that comes in a plastic tackle box. (Pic below). It is a good tire air-up solution and is portable so can be easily moved from one truck to another. It is powered by the truck battery; you just use the alligator clamps to connect to the battery. It occurred to me the other day that I have no clear idea how to use this in the LC250. Could I just pop the rear seat up to access the battery and hook this thing up same as I would a regular under the hood battery?

Yeesh. With a bit of searching, I have learned:

1) there is a battery in the back quarter panel area, accessible from inside the back hatch.
2) there is a "jump point" under the hood, inside the passenger side fuse box.

I’d wire in an Anderson connector for a quick attachment in the cargo area.
I’m in progress of doing exactly this at the moment! 50A Anderson outlet for quick connect of my compressor.

I was trying to avoid modifying the compressor to keep it portable between my two trucks, but I guess I could put the Anderson outlet in each truck.

:hmm:
