I have a front ARB locker installed in my 2001 LC. I have noticed that it piddles where ever I park it and looking in the engine bay it appears to be coming from the ARB line or compressor.
Anyone else ever have any drips from there system? The compressor does operate and the locker does engage. Any other thoughts?
I don't have a 100 series, but I have 4 airlockers and have helped install at least 6 others. None of them leak. Where exactly is the oil coming from? If it's coming out of the solenoid, then the internal o-rings are bad. It's easy to install with a twist in the o-ring and they leak. If it's coming from the fitting on the diff, then just tighten it up. You may get lucky and have that solve your problem.
I suppose it's possible that the breather is bolcked, but it would take a whole lot of pressure in the diff to make that a problem.
If you can clarify where the leak is, it will be easier to guess at a solution.
A blocked breather will spew oil oil when locker is engaged or disengaged. Bad O-rings will take on oil when locker solenoid de-pressurizes. Best way to test is clear oil from lines using air, then drive it for few days without engaging locker. If no oil appears in line, engage and disnegage locker several times and see if oil is drawn into the line when solenoid depressurizes.
