I have to work that day but I'm wondering if I can squeeze in a trail beforehand since Shelf is right by my work.

Guys -

I posted in the BS Thread about a lady I met today with a 1976 FJ40 who wants to go on this trail ride. Can I please get a good POC for this run and the basic itinerary (rally point and time) so I can pass it along? I am not able to attend because I will be in Grand Junction.

Her name is Jessie - I gave her the basics of 0830-ish, 16 April at the Western Gas Station in WP.

my request...leave the Western Station about 9:15 am. I am really planning on driving the 40 up for this run. That means it'll be a long drive up. That will give me a bit of sleep time before getting up at the crack of dawn. I'll probably run down whatever we do south, and break off to come home.

Just a thought... We could meet on south Nevada, head down hwy 115 to penrose and pick up the pueblo guys there. Run north up phantom to crippled creek and south on shelf back to canon city. Anyone wanting to camp at the bank could then set up there. The rest could return via hwy 50 to 115, or the woodland park guys could head back north and through cripple creek and divide. I've heard that Phantom is better going north bound, and I know the views on shelf are much better when facing south. Thoughts?

The south meet location is Safeway at

1920 S Nevada Ave at Cheyenne Rd.

I'm in, possibly up for camping. I live behind PPIR so I'd meet y'all in Penrose if we take that route. WP is fine too.

Not sure if I'm going yet, or I would take care of this. Maybe just direct her to the thread if nobody chimes in. Anyone?

JB, I don't mind being the POC for her. You can give her my cell. I'm planning on going for sure, but at this point seems the leader and route is still in flux. But I can keep her in the loop along with Mud. I'm currently in the middle of a rear bumper build and plan to have it complete by the trail run but Murphy could show up

I've directed her to the thread and our website. She may have already joined. Also met a guy on Sunday with an awesome 60. Told him about the club, the trail run and the upcom8ng meeting. His name is Sean. Hope he shows up. Any plans for pre-business meeting libations on the 19th. Anyone down for Ivywild at 6:00/6:30ish?

Hey weatherman Kyle! What's up with the forecast! The big draw for this run is the views. If it's cloudy and rainy all day that will change the dynamic for sure.

Still trying to pin down the details on the storm, but its looking like a doozy at this point. May be quite a bit of heavy snow up high along the Ramparts and rain down below. Models have been struggling a bit but are finally coming int better agreement so forecast confidence is growing. I'll keep you posted over the next couple days. If its really rainy out, I may not take the 40...its not the most water tight vehicle. What time do I meet you guys in Penrose? None of the time/meeting location stuff is up to date.
