Anyone using a travel router to set up a local LAN in and around their vehicle?

Based on the info in this thread I just got a GL.iNet GL-AXT1800 (Slate AX) Portable Travel Router for use in the trailer. Gonna set it up today.

On a related topic I have been following the news of the FCC's ban on "foreign" made routers and found a tidbit about STARLINK.
It turns out that STARLINK's routers, perhaps this includes the one in the mini, is actually made in the USA and not affected by the FCC directive. I wonder if Elon knew something.

"Effectively, all home router brands will be impacted by the ban. (The only domestically-produced consumer routers Mashable is aware of are made by Starlink for satellite internet.)"

Got the Slate AX up and running. It's very easy to configure and select a WiFi to connect to.
This will make it so I can have all my devices connect to one of our own SSID's put up by the SLATE AX and only have to switch the SLATE's WiFi for connection to the internet. We could bypass it when we're using our own STARLINK but the SLATE showed it was so fast in testing that the STARLINK speeds won't challenge it.

This is what I'm ultimately working toward:

I just run a Starling mini for a wifi network. Why just last night I was at a restaurant while still watching the NCAA basketball finals. Restaurant had metal walls, so cell connection was too weak to pull in the game. Ran outside, turned on my dish and back in running. This is a similar situation a few years back when at a low budget wedding and reception in a church. bride needed to send live feed to her parents overseas, but reception was terrible. in the large metal building with the alter about 300 ft and two walls away from the glass on the buildings front. I pulled the LC up near the front door and surprisingly was able to provide internet to a handful of people. Im surprised by the built in routers power/range.
