Any way to tell what for? Also, please wait..... Before driving, changing screen or what? Tks!
It’s for the infotainment system. You can drive just. The please wait it for any tye infotainment system so no Nav music weather etc until the update is complete. The updates happen very rarely. I’ve had my 2016 since 10/16 and have only experienced and update twice. You can also check for available updates in the menu.

as mentioned, not sure why the update screen is blank if I got the update. As a side note - my contacts, phone voice recognition, etc. did not work today. Had to delete the phone and re-pair. All good again. Tech said thats normal after an update?!?
Those are for large firmware updates that you have to install from a thumb drive. These updates are usually about 150 megs and are too large to download.
You can find DIY firmware updates for some entune radios on Toyota's website instead of having to take it in to the dealer, see link below:
The update was for the removal of Movietickets.com from the entune app suite.

Ahhh, tks. Would have never guessed that as I dont use entune and its not activated.
