I have a good law school friend that lives in Bruce. I am sure I could ask him to go by and take a look at it. However, he isn't a LC guy and isn't going to know what to look for as far as potential problems with the 80. I don't know the potential problems myself since I only own a 100.
Is there something specific you want checked out? Rust? Wrecks? General condition?
If you give me a list that will not be too time consuming, I feel pretty confident in saying he would check it out for me....
I got my eye on a white 93 with 173k, cloth, no lockers. Super clean. I think I can get it right if that is interesting to you.
There is a locked 80 on CL for $6900 in Memphis.

Looking for solid running engine on cold start, super clean headliner/dash/interior, rust-free tailgate and frame. No respray on paint. Solid shifting tranny. Not concerned about a torn up ds seat like they all have.
Some things looks really solid about this rig, but I find it a little odd that it is sitting in a used car lot in Bruce. That's either really good or really bad.
I am going to do a restoration on my next 80 with some trail mods; kinda like I did with my '85 FJ60 a few years back. I am looking for a super solid and pretty one to start from.
I am hoping for one with under 150K miles, but if it's well maintained, you know the drill.
