Anyone else have "factory" heated seats in their LX? (1 Viewer)

This is a set of JDM switches in the factory location on an FZJ80 (purchased from MOT eons ago). Plugged into the factory wiring, and did the "adaptation" to a set of aftermarket heating pads when installing new leather. OEM setup, at least from what you can see. The pics for the LX do not appear in the right place, nor have the dual-setting...my vote is with the others that the OP setup is either dealer or port-installed.

I have a set of those. I think I pulled them from a Avalon or a Lexus.

So my truck may be prewired for these and I could add them? Do tell more. Anyone know the part#s for the switches? Thanks!

Most FZJ have the plugs in the center/shift console. Pull the shift console as a start and dig around a bit to find these.

This is what the back of the JDM switches look like. Plug right into the loom.

There are a number of threads here which describe the install of the switches and resulting wiring under the seats. Yes, the OEM switches actually are even wired with live +12v to the seats. The only wiring is adapting the wires under the seat to the aftermarket heating elements. Some have added a diode to the circuit, while mine worked without the diode...this all depends on the electronics in the kit.

Thanks! I just picked up my 80 series and new to the forum. The more I learn about it the more I like it!
