keeper?...or flipper?
Hi Hillux, how big a job is this? I have all the tools... just want to know what amount of time I'd be into.
Hard to give a good specific answer with out knowing your previous experience and skill.

outa

?
To be honest with you in case like yours I would pull the entire motor.
I'm sure others will disagree with my method but its what I do having done so many. And its pretty easy to me.
Some benefits include,
1: You get all the room in the world you need to work on it.
2: Dont have to drop the front diff
3:
Dont have to mess with the oil pan from underneath
4: do the clutch
5: rear main.....and if you find something that warrants a pull,
6: your gonna wind up having to do it anyway.
7: the hot air tube from the exhaust manifold, unless you want to pull the mani with the head.
8: (quazi, because you can lift off the lower intake with the head and do) the Allen bolt in the intake that is a bitch to do from in the compartment
and depending on how far you want to go, you can have it magnafluxed, freeze plugged and REring it. that and whats listed above, Id say less than $800-$1,000
around the world answer but I don't feel I can come close in
my estimate to tell you what to expect cuz I do it different.
I can pull a motor in +/- 2 hours.

I feel bad now I need to tone down my responses. :whoops:
