I am selling my 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 “Troop Carrier”. This truck went thru a full restoration about 4 years ago from Vintage Offroad.com which is the country’s most famous Land Cruiser custom/resto company. If you know your Cruiser’s, then you know the FJ45 in this condition are extremely rare and hard to come by.

It is super fun to drive and blast to cruise around town in. Has seating for 5 plus tons of cargo room in the back. An aftermarket A/C system was added and works very well. It always gets the “thumbs up” from someone when I take it out. As you case in the pics nice aftermarket seats have been added. The truck has a coat of blue LineX outside and the floor has been sprayed with black LineX inside.

The truck has the original factory 6 cylinder engine which is in perfect shape. The truck runs strong and is very reliable.

I am not 100% sure of miles, the odometer has 50,455 but I do not know if it has gone to 99,000 and then reset. By the way it drives, its hard to tell. The idle is smooth and does not make any weird noise, smoke, etc.

One of the previous owners who had the major work done lived in Florida and had the car shipped out to Arizona and back to have the work done. You can see pics of the restoration on the “sold” section of Vintageoffroad.com: FJ40, FJ45 & FJ55 Toyota Land Cruisers, Land Rovers and Unimogs Call 24/7 (313) 414-3540 The final total of the work was over $22,000. Before I received “Big Blue” it was not being driven all that much over the last 2-3 years. The headliner is a little saggy and the door panels are peeling back of the hardboard liner. Those are the only 2 interior items that need attention.

Mechanically the truck is solid, but has one issue. The passenger front axle spline is sheared and needs to be replaced.

Nolen..LET ME KNOW:bounce:

CLC....input....good first truck for my father in law? he will leave it mostly stock, drive around town, go to duck camp etc.

John, it's not Nolen, you've seen his site, that photobucket would never be his...

From the pics that truck seems nice but has lots of issues.

First, it was touched by Vintage Offroad
Huge body lift
Non original engine
Non original interior
Bed liner paint job
Aluminum rust cover-up
Friends don't let friends drive Thornturds

It looks like it has potential, but based on what I've heard/read on MUD about Vintage Offroad, its probably loaded with bondo and a huge undertaking to get it in decent condition.

Maybe someone close to it could check it out for you?? Do we know anyone in Savannah?

so my father in law knows zero about cruisers but wants a 45.....he is ready to move on it...BUT I didnt realize vintage was so shady.....thoughts from the group?

Nolen pm me or email me the contact info and what you have on it please.....jesaucier26@hotmail.com

ill pass along to the paw in law what yall think....it says "restored" and even in the pics I see lots of rust underneath, noticed the engine was a transplant, etc.......BUT he is not a purist...just thinks they are cool so he probably wouldnt care...that said....is the price ok for one that is from vintage?

thanks guys
