i did that to my 60 too. ace hardware probably has something you can use. cruiserparts.net otherwise. I think I remember replacing it with an eye bolt, that is a long bolt with a loop at the end for staking a wire:

The tension held it in place. You could add some sort of locking bolt for certainty.

How bad are the threads jacked up? Run by a real auto parts store and pick up a proper thread file. It's a square file with four different thread pitches on each end for a total of right optional pitches. You can probably clean it up with that.

Todd hooked a brotha up with a spare.

The threads probably could have been saved, if I hadnt twisted the bolt into a spiral first. It untwisted some after backing (and doesn't show much in the picture), but it was starting to weaken.

I'll have to look for one of those files at the store.

I have a good friend who's wanting to get out of his Z71 into a smaller, 4-door, 4x4 truck. I suggested he look at Tacomas, but he said they're too pricey for the year/mileage he wants ($15K or less). He said he's thinking about looking at Ridgelines, but all of his co-workers are giving him unmitigated hell about driving a "gay truck like that......" I agree.

I told him I'd help him find something, so does anyone have a line on a good Tacoma or any other "small" 4x4 truck that might fit in that category? (he doesn't like the Frontier)

Thanks.

Got some camping gear to get rid of.

1 - ALPS Mountaineering XXL Comfort Air Pad 30x77x4. This is a nice thick self inflating pad. Moss in color suede type outer. In a travel bag. Used a couple of times before getting a cot. $SOLD

1 - Slumberjack Genesis 40F sleeping bag. To be honest I don't think it was ever used it was a backup sleeping bag. $sold

1 - Ridgecrest foam sleep mat....just foam with ridges in it. $15 Looks like a yoga mat type thing.

Can bring it to Boil...

I'll take the Alps pad John. See you at the boil!

Does anyone know of a cheap but decent riding lawn mower for sale? I was planning on buying a new self propelled soon, but figured I would see if I could step up to a riding for close to the price.
