Define perform? You have to take in consideration the :30 setup.

They are super strong and nice to camp in.

I have never seen a family tent that is even close to these as far as quality, ease of setup and durability.

It is nice to be able to pull this thing off the roof and have it set up in a driving rain in seconds. I have done so.

Again, to each his own, but I love mine. My only mistake was getting the 2 person instead of the 4 person.

That seems like a decent price considering you might could avoid shipping costs. What do you guys think this thing is worth?

JT

I think it is a steal at that price. It looks like it has the side awning kit for the front awning too. That is a 30% premium on the cost of the tent.

I bet he has $1400 in that setup or more

Keeping dry and upright in driving rain, properly ventilating, packing small and light, quick set-up. Any good tent should do all these things. The lines on that tent look like a sail. And :30 vs. a minute or two doesn't make for hundreds of dollars in price difference (to me). My Sierra Designs tent has been well used for 18 years, sets up in a minute, has never leaked or blown over, packs small, and was $200. To each their own, but I don't see anything to justify that price.

The biggest problem I have found owning a Roof Top was wheeling.

Most of the trips I did when I camped were in the truck I had the RTT on and folding it up and having that much weight upstairs were the biggest issue.

I carry my OZ on the roof. It is heavy, but it only takes a small portion of the roof to stow.

If I did not have my RTT and trailer I would have an OZ tent. I think people coming from traditional car camping or back packing camping thing OZ tents are crazy expensive but they seem awesome especially with the Roberts AC package.

My $200 eureka tent does fine. I was thinking about getting an OZ tent till i saw them collapse at K2 in the surprise typhoon.

There is a sweet RTT that is low profile but its like $3500 Or so... Brand name escapes me.. Gee i wonder why.

Holy s***ty paint job batman!

Put this on my eBay watch list. Let's se where this piggy goes...

Topped out at $6100 and didn't meet reserve. I'm with DNP, I want a Pig one of these days.

Kerry Blaylock called me this morning (about attending the Crawl) and told me that he has a 91 FJ80 that he wants to sell. The fuel injection has been removed from this truck to put on a 75 series but was running when he parked it. One owner truck prior to him. He wants $1000 for the rig. Call him @ 662-574-6622 if you are interested. I have not seen this truck.

Any of you guys interested in a tow bar? I got this a while back from a BSLCA member who used it to tow his 40 with his FJC. I was gonna do the same but have gone a completely different direction (tow rig / toy hauler). Anyhow, if one of you guys wants it, I can bring it to SCC with me. How about $40 or a 1.75L bottle of Crown?

EDIT: If you go with the bottle of Crown, it has to be unopened.
