Hey everyone, I'm looking to give my 2008 LC a slight lift/level. Not looking for anything crazy. I read a few threads and have an idea of what I want to do. Probably a Bilstein 6112/5160 kit or similar. A lot of past threads suggest the OEM spacer to raise the nose a bit, but I feel it's not worth all the headache for the little bump.

Anyway, for small suspension modifications, do y'all have any shops or people in or around Houston, TX that you recommend and trust to work on your LC?

Appreciate any thoughts! :)

I second the referral to Javier Autos - down to earth dudes and not pricey when I had my 80 there. Also, Duggy's Garage - pretty efficient and much more sophisticated than Javier's - much more expensive though too. I have used Duggy's for lifts before in my previous 200s and result was great. Haven't try any lifts/suspension work with Javier.

I’ve used all three, Javier’s, Duggy’s, and Northwest Design and Fabrications. I’ve also used Jeboost at TEQ Auto. I wanted to try everyone and find the shop that best suits me overall. I use Duggy’s but I’d recommend TEQ and Javier’s, too. It just depends on your vehicle and needs.

Javier’s helped me out with my 40 series and some 2F ignition issues. No problems. They do 40’s, 60’s, 80’s, maybe even 100’s. I’m not sure about 200’s. Javier’s is old school in a good way.

TEQ did a Dobinson IMS lift and rear bumper with tire swing install (cut out factory cross member type) on my 2005 4Runner. No problems.

Northwest Design and Fabrications did work on both my FJ40 and FJ60. I had alarming issues resulting from the work both times. I won’t air it out here, PM if you want details. But hey, your results may be better.

Duggy’s has done extensive work on many vehicles for me: 2016 4Runner, 2005 4Runner, FJ60, FJ40, and most recently my 2016 LX570 with a sensor lift, AHC fluid service, Slee sliders and LC rocker panels. One minor issue on my LX, but they remedied it immediately and went above and beyond.

TEQ/Jeboost are great but really inconvenient for me. Javier’s is great, especially for the older stuff, but on their own timeline and the shop/lot is very crowded. Duggy’s is by far the most professional and best to deal with but you pay for that. Pre and post sale support is top notch. I use Duggy’s because they fit what I’m after.
