Any experience with Interco TrXus M/T?

Looking at getting a set of Interco TrXus M/T’s, they look decent and the price is pretty reasonable for the size I’m looking at. Wondering if anyone on here has run them before and could report back on what they’re like both on road and off. Especially interested to hear what tread life is like.

I’ve currently got a set of Cooper ST Maxx tires on right now, they’ve held up really well but are getting pretty low on tread at 45k miles. I run 5 tire rotations.

not great tread life as they are soft, but do well in all conditions including winter, less lumpy interco ride than swampers
kinda like if blizzaks and ltb's had a baby

Thanks for the input, kind of what I expected. I had Irok ND’s on my G-Wagen, they did remarkably well on the highway for a tire like that but definitely wore quick.

I run mostly highway miles in the LandCruiser, so on road performance is just as important as off road at this point. Doing some napkin calculations it looks like the TrXus tires will be about the same cost per mile as a set of BFG KO3’s if the Intercos last 35k miles and the BFG’s last 50k. Again this is assuming a 5-tire rotation.

I really like the Coopers but they’ve shot way up in price compared to when I bought them. They’re now one of the most expensive options in the size I run.

Ran a set of 255/85r16’s many years ago and really liked them (probably my favorite mud tire). They weren’t the longest lasting, but everything else about them was great on and off road. I’m not sure if I just got lucky or what, but I didn’t have any balance issues with the trxus and they ran super smooth. Not sure what the availability of them is like these days, I haven’t seen a set on a truck in years.

I ran a set of Interco SSR’s and Irok ND’s as well, both of which sucked on road and neither ever balanced.
