Anyone of you have a dirtbike and feel like riding sometime? I'm heading the Tansky Main ORV area tomorrow if anyone of you care to join.

That would be awesome..... I can't pack much  on a dirt bike so a quad might just come in handy.

So what kind of dirt bike do you ride, or should I say what size? I used to have a very cool '77 Honda 125
but after I got the quad I let it go. Like you said, can't pack much on a bike. And after a lot of solo trips
50 miles back, I figured I was bucking the odds. Mind, I have learned since, that yes, quads do in fact fall
over.

Hey man you left yet? Im in for a ride anytime. Im in shawnigan and we can leave/ ride right from my backyard. F N A... someone else to go riding with. All my buddies up here have quads. Its OK riding with that group but my clutch hates me when I do. Pm me and we should set something up.

Burnz, I'm on my way out the door now to head to Jordan River. Next weekend work for you? I love riding the shawigan area. PM me your contact info.

Cam.

Installed a few of these kits, pretty cool stuff.

Had a quad, bike then a Side by side, it was by far the most fun I have ever had..

I'd like to try a Rekluse. I'm not sold on them yet though.... I'm too old school. I like my clutch lever.

Had a sweet day riding, I took my son who's 9 and rides a 50. Tansky ORV area is great but the trails are a little beyond his skill level. Some of the stumps and boulders are the size of his bike and getting him along the trail was a real workout. We managed to find some good stuff in between the gnarly stuff though and overall it was a great day.

Have u taken your kid to the pit by the xmas tree farm ( cougar ridge) ?. My two boys are 10 and 7. One has an xr80 and the othef has a pw80. Many a day spent in that pit riding, bbqing, heck even the wifes 4runner makes it in there to get dirty. We need to make this happen....

Right on Cam! Good way to get out with your boy. I've thought of buying a couple bikes for my son and I a few times now.

I rode there back in the 90's when the Burnt Bridge (bridge was open) and had a great time. I went back that way a few years ago (like 6) on a quading trip, I remember we went to a Cabin on Jervis lake. Always a good time. The gravel pit sounds like a good idea for the kids, keeping the little guy visible and close by is good for the "dad stress level."

We are just getting started, I rode a lot back in the day and am just finding out how slow and old I have really gotten. I bought a bike that is twice as powerful as anything I owned before, brilliantly fiddled about with it to get even more power from the already enormous engine only to find out I have none of the physical ability to control the monster. I sit on the couch today aching everywhere, complaining and grunting. Rehydrating with beer last night might have been a bad idea but at the time seemed like the clear path. I do know I will be better by next weekend though!

I gotta get on the bandwagon here as I have three boys 7, 9, 11, and I grew up on dirtbikes behind Arrowsmith Mtn. I think I'll likely experience the same thing as slowandsteady when it comes to feeling my age!

Now, to find money to get into a few bikes...

Always into riding! Just sold my CRF450R, might buy a gas/gas trials bike next.

Do it Jim! We gotta get Robbie riding as well. (hehe)

I'm going to try to set a weekend ride up with Burnz this weekend up his way (Shawnigan) Hopefully it works out. Although my son just informed me that he's running away because I'm an awful dad who is a big meanie because I insisted he ate his dinner instead of sugar snacks, followed by a door slamming, cursing, 30 minute meltdown. Down one rider for the weekend.... Grounded.

:bang:
