Ok I got some numbers. First, Texx you are so right... have seen that before. Grant 5127, Community college auto mechanics 30 yrs ago.. never went into the trade.

Accelerator depressed...screw in compression tester.

Dry compression ....... oil added
#1 118 ....................... 128
#2 120
#3 122
#4 75 .......................... 82
#5 120
#6 120
#7 just kidding

Looks like #4 is my next target. I need to go but will read what you think later. Thanks all.

Pulled the valve cover. The valve stem seals are up at the top of the valve stem. They are all like that, I did some searching and there are 2 kinds of seals. One with umbrella and one without. Anyone have some advice here.

A leak down test would shed more light on where the lack of compression is going.........

Just as well pull the head and mic the bore.........

Be braced for a full blown rebuild........

FYI Felpro has POSI-Loc valve seals..........
