any 200k daily drivers?

Not quite at the miles your looking at, but to chime in ours 2004 has 140K miles. We bought it new. Had some early issues with the navigation system screen (there's a TSB out on it) and the backup camera. Both of those were at around 40K miles. Since then NOTHING.

Mechanically the rig has been bulletproof. My wife absolutely refuses to give it up. She said I'll have to pry it out of her cold dead hands. Everytime we take a roadtrip and I'm behind it for an extended amount of time I am continually amazed at the engineering in this vehicle. It still feels and drives like the day we drove it out of the dealer.

It has taken us on countless vacations, hockey trips (I have tow boys who play travel hockey). At $7.5 how can you go wrong?

Daily driving mine at 150k. No hitches, glitches, or witches.

I just came back from a 1500mile trip (mountain driving) over 4 days with my wife and 3 kids. 600 miles of it I was pulling a 3000lb trailer. I have 175k miles on my truck. It's awesome, and we love it! I averaged 14 mpg without the trailer, and 11.5mpg with towing through the mtns. Great times!

I'm @ ~230k now and this truck has been rock solid. I keep it well maintained (do everything myself) and it has not skipped a beat. I would drive this thing across the country tomorrow without hesitation. Like mentioned before, besides the gas mileage it is a wonderful DD and road trip vehicle. I commute 100 miles round trip daily, plus drive during the day for work quite often. Although I have a car that I drive at least half the time, our 100 gets 30-35k per year on it.

My '99 has about 149K now - bought it used in March of 2006 with 82K on it. Did the OME lift w/diff drop, had to replace the steering rack in June of '08, coil pack went bad. It's my DD and hunting & fishing vehicle. We took it on a long road trip last summer without hesitation, and I have no hesitation about taking it off-road into some remote areas. It's a solid vehicle.

Hoping to get another five years or more out of it - as long as gas doesn't hit $10 a gallon or something crazy https://forum.ih8mud.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

1998 lc 198k

I have had my '98 LC since new. Best vehicle I have ever owned. I keep telling everyone it is halfway through it's life. I have lost count of the number of people I have pulled out of ditches (jeeps are the best!).

WOW, and to think I was considering whether or not I should think about trading my 2005 LX with ~115k on it just because the mileage is "high". Considering I drive like 12k a year now I should be able to keep this thing until I die. It does get undesirable gas mileage in ATL rush hour traffic though.

BTW, any of you running a K&N filter, do you actually see any improvement in mileage or is it not worth the $50?

Your rig is just getting broken in.

Search "K&N" and you will find lots of folks avoid them.

I have been driving mine daily in ATL traffic since new, along with trips up to N GA mountains every weekend when the weather is warm. (okay so no laughing from the folks out West, they actually call them mountains down here...)

I have always been amazed at how this truck handles on the GA Dragons Tail (Rt 19). I have hauled most of the interior of a house up there inside of , on top of and behind my LC. Towing a 22' boat, trailers w/ 6K lbs of rock etc. It is a work horse.

I can certainly find a vehicle that gets better MPG, but I would not be happy with it.

I've got 282k on my LX470 that I use as my DD. Interior was redone about 4 years ago, just had a little paint work touched up. Looks and drives like a 3 year old truck. I plan on driving it till 500k.

Don't listen to the others. You definitely should unload it. To help you out, I'll give you $10k for it just cuz I'm a nice guy. :)

181000miles on our 99. Did waterpump, tbelt, tune upand brakes all around. Just put 285 BFG ATs on 2 night ago and my wife is driving it 3500km round trip this week. Daily driven, rock solid and lots of crumbs and kids toys inside. All it needs is a solid axle.

the only reason I drove to ouray was to get in this thread...
