Antenna Cable - Through body options

Wanting to utilize the Lab Rack Antenna mount on the 80 series (Passenger Side Rear) and I'm looking for any insight of bringing the cable into the body at or near the mount?

The firestick coax will require a 3/8" hole..

Any thought or experiences would be appreciated.

Drilled a hole in that spot - it feeds directly into the cavity where the turn indicator assembly is. Should be the same on the US passenger side.

I just drilled a small a small hole next to the PS rear lower hatch latch. I also used a grommet. I'd take a pic but it's -20C out now.

George what did you use to push the antenna through in that corner, a grommet or a special plug???I might route the same when for my roof rack lights, not sure I want to drill a hole through my roof.

I created a 'grommet' by using the self vulcanising tape you can purchase. Been fine for several years (I'm guessing at least 5 yrs at this point). No sign of it deteriorating or any issues.
