Another stupid tire thread-sorry

I don't mean to be rude, but why are we starting new tire threads seemingly every day? Tire threads and questions are the most commonly asked about things on this forum, so can we please consolidate these into existing threads? The forum is becoming harder to sift through for tech when we get the same questions and discussions daily. Mods/ @beno thoughts?

The title of my thread was intended to have a bit of humor not so much literal to the point of being a lightning rod for criticism.
After a search of the 200 forum I didn't find specific feedback regarding the specific questions I had so I started a new thread.
Its not like my questions were broad, they are very specific.

Of those, the brand that he can get and recommends is the Toyo Open country AT II's.
My use for my LC is DD, meaning Indiana snow and rain, a bit of towing, occasional dirt.
My goal is to have as few as many compromises as possible in my tire choice (of course).

You can easily ask a new question about tires in an existing thread. Your question about Nexen tires quickly changed into the standard plain vanilla "what tire is best for me" which is what a good chunk of the discussion is on the forum already. This was just posted a couple of days ago and has 3,000+ views and 61 replies and is chock full of the same info.

I get you want tailored advice, but the "use case" of a daily driver with some rain, snow, dirt and towing is essentially everyone's use case. I wouldn't say this thread has become a lightning rod for criticism, but from your title it sounds like you were already aware there is an unbelievable amount of tire discussion already. It's not unreasonable to ask people to help this forum be efficient and not just an amalgamation of the same questions. Sorry if that position offends you.

No worries, not offended! I just wanted to explain where I was coming from.
I've been on here long enough that I understand your point and I get it, I appreciate that most people on here are mature enough to make a point with out being a dick unlike some other forums. I am also brand new to the 200 section, I'm learning my way......and pretty excited about owning a modern LC as a DD.

@bloc - how’s the noise on the AT2s... I had KO2s on my previous 200 and at the end of the day the NVH on the vast majority of highway driving I do just wasn’t worth the capability I rarely used.

My KO2s were really quiet, IMO. Though I didn't keep them long enough to wear down.. I've heard that is when they get loud. And, my previous rig was an 80 on KM2s.

The ATIIs are marginally louder than my KO2s were, and it's a different pitch. Lower, I think.

Also note that I have the P-metric ATIIs. I can't speak for whether the LT-metric version would be louder or quieter. It would definitely need to be run at a different pressure.

All of that said.. I got the P-metric ATIIs precisely because 95% of my driving is on road. I needed something that wouldn't put me in the situation of sliding off a power line road, but have good road manners and not impact fuel efficiency and ride quality as much as my KO2s did.
