Did they say if theres anyway to decrease the 60%? Just wondering.

Nope - best is keeping it as is with the Lipitor so it won't get worse. Wished they'd have put a stent in that one too while they were in there, but they don't unless it's 70% or worse.

Wow Brent, you are stubborn! I'm glad you got everything taken care of. Remember; red wine is good for your heart - in moderation!

You sure picked a lousy way to get out of helping me with my projects!

Take it easy and listen to the Doctors!

See you soon.

Do you know if they can check for blockage without opening you up?

How's your chest feel now? Sore as heck?

Chest is fine - that's not where they go in. There are no pain receptors in your blood vessels. Only place they opened me up was a very small hole near my groin. It's just a little tender, but stopped putting a band aid on it Monday. It's that little hole they insert the catheter in and run it up the artery to your heart. They plug the artery with something that disolves in about 90 days.

Bypass surgery may be what you're thinking about and that leaves quite a scar on your chest.

I'll still help if you need it in a couple of months. Can't lift anything over 7 lbs right now! Hell, I can't even go mow the damn lawn.

All this talk about heart disease and diabetes just made me book an appointment with the doc for an exam. I haven't been in about two years since my dad passed away from these two things.

Interesting. My aunt had them roto-rooter her through her neck. But i think it was up near her neck where she had the problem to begin with.

Thanks again for answering questions.

It's a great thread to open our eyes, sorry it had to come to you having a Heart Attack for us to remember to take care of ourselves.

Wow! That's scary. I glad to hear to you're going to come out of it O.K.

This has been a rough couple of months for the Socal80s.

Close Calls SUCK! :censor:

I'm back at work pretty close to you. Hit me up if you need anything.

Seriously.

WOW..... Hope you make a full and fast recovery.....

Well...Cardiologist and personal physican both gave me thumbs up on my follow up visits yesterday.

In the words of the Cardiologist, "you dodged a BIG bullet" by getting the stents when I did. Whew!!!

I CAN go to SnT :bounce::bounce::bounce: and better yet resume playing golf on 11.14.09!:clap::clap:

Dude!! How did I miss this? I am very glad that you are doign well Brent. You can't leave us until we get a chance to play golf together! Again, I am very thankful that all turned out well!

Thanks Smitty! BTW - I still have that shotgun seat open for SnT! :p

I wish...maybe next year. At least I will be here that weekend. It will be no SnT but it will still be fun.

Sounds fun, but you guys are spoiled: Amenities include a bathroom with showers, campsites with water, sewer and electricity connections. :D
