In my opinion it does not make that much difference in this part of the world. It is designed to turn on after you turn your truck off and the temp start to build from lack of airflow. They are more important in places like AZ or Texas. I just was wondering if it was getting hot enough for that to kick on or if you are just like a new parent trying to get used to you new kid. It great that you are paying attention to these things and trying to learn about your truck.

Well the reason why it doesnt turn on anymore is because the wire is melted through and its not even connected, I just want my Cruiser to run well and not too hot. For some reason my engine doesnt seem to be responsive I want to say but I really need to give my 62 the gas to get up hills. What could be wrong? If anything.

Thanks

Dont know how long you have had the truck or what you have done to it but its never going to be a rocket ship. A good tune up is always a plus, new plugs, wires, filters, and a check on all the vac hoses. IF the truck is new to you then get one of the close club members to let you drive there truck for to compare the preformance. Making sure your exhaust system is in good order is another area to check out. It is important to get this corrected or have a correct undestand of how your truck is supposed to run because as you add mods the truck is going to have more weight and larger tires which will slow it down more. A box can only go so fast.

My best suggestion is to get with another owner and compare how your trucks run. I know that my 60 is faster than my buddies 62, but we dont often race and they both work great off road.

I have had it since about March or so. I have done nothing to it, it has 31 BFG's on it. I know Cruisers dont go fast, but I personally think that they should go faster than what mine is doing. I just want it to achieve all the power that the car is capable of because I would think if I dont have much on the road, its going to be horrible offroad. Also, do you guys have to floor your Cruisers to go up bigger hills?

Thanks

Lets get together sometime, look it over and we can compare power and fix that fan of yours.

On road and off road are two different issues. Off road in a cruiser is about torque and in low range you will have plenty. with the exception of mud and deep sand you will almost never be in a spot where more power would have helped. The most common issue will be that lower and slower gears would help.
