Another Engel fridge Q....

For those of you with experience,

I just loaded 7 six packs of cans and 2 1/2 six packs of bottles in the Engel 43. It is packed for sure. I have it set at 1 and will lower the temp over time to get it real cold. I didn't use the basket. Is the basket needed for purposes of circulation? Will cans resting against the plates cause problems?

Personaly I use the basket all the time for air circulation, I dont think it really makes a difference tho.

Nice thing about using the basket is you can fill that up in the house and just carry it out to the truck. Rather than carrying around the whole thing thats like 50lbs empty. Or making multiple trips.

I also figure the basket helps protect the inside if nothing else.
